Erin Puckett, owner of Repose Pilates
Owner & Founder

Erin Puckett

  • B. Exercise Science
  • Grad. Dip. Strength & Conditioning
  • 20+ years in Perth wellness

Erin first walked into the studio as a member, looking for a way to escape a stressful job and make some time for herself. She fell so in love with the workouts and the community that when the opportunity came up to buy the business — then an Xtend Barre franchise — she couldn’t think of anything else she would rather do.

She rebuilt it as Repose, keeping the best lessons from Xtend and shaping everything else around the needs of the local community. Tired of fitness spaces that made people feel like they didn’t belong, she set out to build somewhere women could walk in and feel strong and supported from day one — no judgement, no intimidation, just good movement in a space that genuinely cares about you, and where everyone is welcome.

Erin holds a degree in Exercise Science and a Graduate Diploma in Strength & Conditioning, and has worked in Perth’s wellness industry for more than 20 years. Along the way she fell in love with injury rehabilitation and the joy of helping people get back to themselves. It’s personal, too: Erin is hypermobile and has had two knee reconstructions (thanks, hockey!), and Pilates became part of her lifestyle while she recovered. After coaching everything from RPM and battle ropes to kettlebells and Olympic lifting, Pilates is the style she’s most passionate about for longevity and overall wellbeing.

That background shapes every class at Repose. Sessions are built on how bodies actually move, not on trends — safe progressions, smart ways to work around injuries, and instructors who understand the “why” behind an exercise, not just the “what”. It’s the difference between a class that looks good and one that gets you results without wrecking your knees.

“Watching someone come in nervous on day one and seeing that growth in their confidence is why I do this.”

Her favourite class to teach is Mat Pilates, for its purity: no distractions, just absolute focus on getting alignment and muscle activation right — plus the fun of teaching an entire session lying down that still leaves you worked. (She loves taking Barre, too.) Outside the studio, Erin keeps life as balanced as she can, with quality time with her family, plenty of reading — ask her for a book recommendation any time — and getting creative with different art styles.

Kim Moore, Repose Pilates instructor
Barre

Kim Moore

Kim fell for barre as a client more than 15 years ago — the energy of the instructor, the playlist and the feeling of the movement had her hooked from the very first class — and eventually took on the challenge of teaching it herself. She believes in barre for staying strong, happy and healthy through every stage of life, and loves watching clients grow confident in their own strength, whether that’s trying a slightly heavier weight for the first time or feeling stronger with every class. Her one prop for life is the stretch band. When it gets tough: “Smile, enjoy the moment, be thankful for what your body can do.” For Kim, moving well means staying consistent, loving it and appreciating it — a daily commitment that sets you up for physical and mental wellbeing, now and well into the future.

Deb Bennett, Repose Pilates instructor
Barre & Mat Pilates

Deb Bennett

Deb knew after her very first barre class, 18 years ago — she still remembers telling her friend she would love to be an instructor. Today, her favourite moment is when clients find their mind–body connection, and a move they used to find difficult suddenly feels easy. Her prop for life is the ball. When it gets tough, expect to hear: “Smile, this is fun! We’re on the home run — only 16 pulses left, and I’ll count down the last 8 so you can finish strong.” For Deb, movement is what keeps the mind, body and soul feeling positive and motivated.

Sienna Gliksman, Repose Pilates instructor, seated on a reformer
Reformer Pilates

Sienna Gliksman

Sienna realised she wanted to teach when she noticed she looked up to her own Pilates teachers as mentors. Bridge is her favourite movement, so her favourite moment is when a client finds that perfect tuck of the pelvis and you can see it land on their face: “Ohhh, that’s what she means.” Her prop for life is the ball, 100 per cent. When an exercise gets tough, she reminds herself the burn will be gone within a second of it ending — and sometimes she literally thinks, “just keep swimming”. To Sienna, moving well means always listening to her body: setting intentions without neglecting how she feels, letting some days be about simply showing up and others about pushing further, and remembering that the most potent benefit of exercise is mental health, not just physical.

Lana Humphry, Repose Pilates instructor
Reformer Pilates

Lana Humphry

Lana came to Pilates injured and scared to move her body. Pilates gave her strength and control back, and during her recovery she realised she wanted to bring that same experience to other people. Her favourite thing to see in class? The shakes — people being challenged, safely. It’s the Pilates ball forever, and when an exercise gets tough her advice is: “You’ll be fine, keep going — don’t let your muscles tell you what to do!” For Lana, moving well means looking after your body inside and out: fuel, movement, rest, repeat.

Cindy Bradstreet, Repose Pilates instructor
Barre

Cindy Bradstreet

Cindy found her calling as a client. Classes made such a profound difference to her day — she left feeling confident, empowered and energised — that she wanted to recreate that feeling for others, improving their day, their week, their month and their whole life. Her favourite moment in class is when clients truly extend their limbs: creating length with contraction does something a squeezed-in contraction never can. Hand weights are the one prop she’d keep forever. Her own mantra is “Just get it done, Cindy”, but in class she reminds people to push past the limit their brain sets — they showed up for a reason, so honour it. To Cindy, moving well means connecting mind and body, whether it’s a walk, a stretch, a class or lifting heavy weights. Having to think about movement is the magic. Motion is potion.

Barre

Simone Harding

Simone fell for barre in her very first class — she loved it so much that she walked out and asked the instructor, “How do I become a teacher?” Her most rewarding moments come when a client finds the one cue or adjustment that helps them with an injury. Her prop of choice is the ball, all the way: it’s so versatile and fun. When an exercise gets tough, she thinks about how good she’ll feel once it’s done. To Simone, moving well means being able to live your life freely, without pain, injury or physical limitations getting in the way.

Niesha Hosie, Repose Pilates instructor
Barre

Niesha Hosie

Niesha had been doing barre for years, always thinking she’d love to teach it one day. It was the one form of exercise she consistently stuck with and genuinely looked forward to, and the lifestyle and flexibility of teaching made it something she could see herself doing long-term. Her favourite moment is when someone arrives after a hard day — maybe they didn’t even want to come — and leaves happier, energised and ready to tackle the rest of their evening. Her prop is definitely the ball: it can make an exercise harder, or give you something to focus on so you get through those extra pulses and holds without realising how hard you’re working. Expect to hear, “You are strong, you can do this! Only 8 more to go, and then you’re done!” For Niesha, moving well means walks along the coast with her dogs and baby, regular stretching, and feeling strong, flexible and capable enough to keep up with the life she loves.

Katie Williamson, Repose Pilates instructor, holding a puppy
Pilates

Katie Williamson

Katie spent years struggling to find movement she enjoyed or could stick to, so finding something she was excited to do every day was life-changing — and she wanted to share that feeling with anyone who has been in the same place. Her favourite moment is when an exercise clicks, most often bridging. In a first class it can feel unnatural, or you don’t feel it where you’re supposed to; once clients engage their core and glutes and find that beautiful spine articulation, she knows they’ve got it, and it helps so many other movements. Her prop for life is the block, for adding instability, height and a balance challenge. When it gets tough, her mantra is “I showed up today for a reason!” To Katie, moving well simply means moving every day if she can — anything from a short walk to a killer Pilates class, depending on the day and how her body is feeling.

Erin Carver, Repose Pilates instructor
Reformer Pilates

Erin Carver

Erin’s moment came six months after her first baby. Still on maternity leave from her full-time job, she went out one evening to a local mat-work class and loved it so much she wanted to share that feeling of movement and freedom with other postpartum women. Today, nothing beats watching a member learn a new skill, master it, then improve on it and overtake her — or arrive with an injury and leave stronger, more mobile and pain-free. Her favourite prop is the magic circle, on the mat or the reformer, for the way it switches on muscles you don’t even realise you’re using. Her mantra? “It’s almost over” — just kidding, it’s “I can do this.” However tough the class, she always walks out feeling better than when she walked in. To Erin, moving well means doing everyday things pain-free, with the strength, flexibility and functional movement your own life asks of you.

Tamara Stojnic, Repose Pilates instructor
Barre & Mat Pilates

Tamara Stojnic

Tamara knew straight after her first barre class here at Repose. Humbled and in awe of how the instructor seamlessly led a creative flow, she was inspired to bring her own creativity and dance background into teaching. She loves seeing a client who has been working through the progressions of an exercise finally feel confident to advance, and she’s proud of everyone willing to push themselves in new ways. Her prop? The ball. Always. When an exercise gets tough, she thinks about how amazing it will feel once it’s over — being challenged shows her what her body is capable of, and makes her grateful for the strength and mobility it gives her. For Tamara, moving well means feeling strong, giving herself grace to listen to her body, and knowing movement will look different every day. From a light stretch to a challenging class, any movement is something to be proud of.

Gabby Char, Repose Pilates instructor
Reformer Pilates

Gabby Char

Gabby never actually planned to teach Pilates. Her background is in aerial arts, and when she moved to Perth she wanted to keep teaching — but the aerial market is very niche, and roles were hard to come by. So she pivoted and enrolled in a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction: a complete detour that she’s now absolutely loving. Anyone who has taken her class knows the must-do transition from footwork to abs always involves roll-ups, and she’s thrilled watching clients progress at their own pace until they can effortlessly “float” up into a V-sit from lying down. Her prop for life is the Pilates ball — who doesn’t love something that versatile? When it gets tough, expect to hear: “We’re JUST adding this layer — you can do it, almost there!” To Gabby, moving well looks different for every body and every goal. As long as you’re moving a little better than you did yesterday, you’re improving — and you should be proud of yourself.

Amber Ku, Repose Pilates instructor, in a side stretch
Yoga

Amber Ku

Amber’s path to teaching wasn’t a single lightning-bolt moment but a gradual shift. As her practice became a non-negotiable part of her week, she met incredible instructors who transformed her both mentally and physically — and she realised she wanted to step into that same role, passing on the love, support and benefits she had received. The moment she treasures most in class is a quiet one: peace, captured in a gentle smile. The ball is her one prop for life, and when an exercise gets tough she simply breathes through it. For Amber, moving well means finding the perfect balance — strong and grounded physically, clear and centred mentally.

Millie Wu, Repose Pilates instructor
Reformer Pilates

Millie Wu

Millie’s start in Pilates came from a little act of stubbornness. Someone she was dating once told her it might be too hard for her to learn to teach Pilates because of the language barrier — so she went home and signed up for the course that very night. More than a decade later it’s still a passion she loves, and proof that sometimes the best motivation is proving someone wrong (and discovering something you’re rather good at along the way). Her favourite moment is the smile that says, “Wow… I can’t believe I just did that!” — surprise turning into genuine confidence that radiates well beyond the carriage or mat. Her prop for life is the Pilates stick, which she calls the magic wand. When an exercise gets tough: “Okay, let’s go to my happy place…” — and then she thinks about Chris Hemsworth. If that doesn’t work, she breathes, focuses on the movement and takes it one repetition at a time, but she won’t pretend Chris doesn’t help. For Millie, moving well means having the strength, mobility and confidence to reach the washing line, lift the groceries or grab something from the top shelf without having to negotiate with your body first. Pilates isn’t just about looking good while you exercise — it’s about feeling capable enough to enjoy all the little things life asks of you.

Jasmin Radcliffe, Repose Pilates instructor
Yoga & Meditation

Jasmin Radcliffe

Client Liaison & Membership Manager

Alongside teaching, Jasmin is the studio’s Client Liaison and Membership Manager, so she’s the person to ask about anything to do with your membership. She realised she wanted to teach when she saw how valuable it is for people to have dedicated time for themselves. Women are often so busy looking after everyone and everything else, and she loves creating a space where they can pause, move and have that time just for themselves. Her favourite moment is when someone finishes class feeling better than when they arrived — stronger, lighter, more energised or simply a little more at ease. Her favourite prop is aerial silks, for the way they can completely change how you experience a movement, and how much fun they make exploring it. When things get tough, her mantra is “It won’t last forever. Everything ends.” Even when something feels difficult or uncomfortable, it’s only temporary — so just keep breathing and keep going. To Jasmin, moving well means having freedom in your body and feeling capable in everyday life, without constantly thinking about what your body can or can’t do — and, for her personally, being able to keep up with her kid.
